
Beijing, April 8: The State Administration for Market Regulation of China announced on April 7 that the advertising revenue from public institutions and large enterprises across the country exceeded 2 trillion yuan for the first time in 2025, reaching 2 trillion 50 billion 21 million yuan. This figure is double the revenue recorded in 2020 and reflects an average annual growth rate of 16.8 percent.
Digital technologies have become the driving force behind the growth of the advertising industry, providing strong momentum for its expansion.
According to statistics, internet advertising revenue reached 1 trillion 357 billion 43 million yuan in 2025, marking a 34.6% increase from 2024.
Additionally, there has been a concurrent improvement in the scale and efficiency of advertising industry operators. Currently, there are over 1,400 business entities generating more than 100 million yuan in advertising revenue, with continuous growth in their total profits and taxes.
In terms of regional development, the growth pattern in the eastern, central, and western regions is becoming more balanced. Nineteen provinces across the country have now surpassed the 1 billion yuan mark in advertising revenue.
