Uttar Pradeshs Free IAS/PCS Coaching Scheme Offers Hope to Underprivileged Youth

Lucknow, June 2: Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Social Welfare Department’s free IAS/PCS residential coaching program is emerging as a beacon of hope for the youth. Set to launch in August 2026, this initiative aims to provide economically disadvantaged candidates from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes with the opportunity to prepare for administrative services. The enthusiasm among the youth is palpable.

The increasing participation in the online application process serves as a testament to its popularity. Sanjeev Singh, the director of the Social Welfare Department, revealed that a total of 865 seats have been allocated for economically weaker candidates from these communities. Of these, 25% of the seats are reserved for students who have qualified for the preliminary examination through lateral entry. This will offer better guidance to candidates who have succeeded in the initial phase and are now preparing for the main examination.

The enthusiasm among the youth continues to rise under the Yogi government. According to departmental data, as of June 1, a total of 5,513 candidates have registered, with 2,848 finalizing their applications. Interested candidates can apply until June 18, with the examination scheduled for July 5. Selected candidates will then receive coaching through the residential program.

This surge in numbers indicates that many young individuals from various districts are seizing this opportunity. Preparing for civil service examinations often requires spending significant amounts on private coaching institutes, which poses a considerable challenge for economically weaker and marginalized students.

In this context, the Yogi government’s free coaching scheme brings much-needed relief to these youths. The program aims to provide talented candidates with quality guidance to help them succeed in competitive exams.

It is noteworthy that the Social Welfare Department, under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, is preparing to conduct the selection process and classes with complete transparency. The Yogi government prioritizes ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder any talented student’s dreams. To this end, free coaching, study materials, and expert guidance are being made available. This initiative not only opens new doors of opportunity for the youth but also strengthens social inclusion in administrative services.
