Guwahati, June 2: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Guwahati has announced the recruitment of 129 Senior Resident (Non-Academic) and Senior Demonstrator positions across various departments for a three-year term. Interested candidates can apply until June 15.
The available positions include: 6 in Anesthesiology, 5 in Anatomy, 4 in Biochemistry, 2 in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, 5 in Community and Family Medicine, 1 in Dentistry (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery MDS), 3 in Dermatology, 1 in Endocrinology, 1 in Gastroenterology, 12 in General Medicine, 16 in General Surgery, 1 in Hospital Administration, 2 in Medical Oncology/Hematology, 5 in Microbiology, 2 in Neonatology, 1 in Nephrology, 2 in Neurosurgery, 1 in Nuclear Medicine, 9 in Obstetrics and Gynecology, 5 in Ophthalmology, 4 in Orthopedics, 2 in Pediatrics, 2 in Pediatric Surgery, 2 in Pathology, 4 in Pharmacology, 3 in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, 5 in Physiology, 2 in Psychiatry, 1 in Pulmonary Medicine, 2 in Radiation Oncology, 4 in Radiology, 1 in Surgical Gastroenterology, 3 in Transfusion Medicine and Blood Bank, 8 in Trauma and Emergency Medicine, and 2 in Urology.
The online application process commenced on June 1, with the deadline set for June 15. Eligible candidates with a postgraduate medical degree (MD/MS/DNB) or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution, as specified under the residency scheme, or those holding an MSc with a PhD are encouraged to apply. Additional eligibility criteria must also be met.
Candidates should be no older than 45 years as of the application deadline, with age relaxation applicable for reserved category candidates.
Selection will be based on application scrutiny, interviews, and document verification. Selected candidates can expect a monthly salary ranging from ₹56,100 to ₹67,700, along with other benefits.
Interviews are scheduled for June 29 and 30, starting at 9 AM at the Board Room, Medical College Building, AIIMS Guwahati. Candidates must report for document verification by 8 AM or earlier on the interview days.
When filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is ₹1,000 for UR/OBC candidates and ₹500 for SC/ST/EWS candidates. Candidates from the PWD category are exempt from the registration fee.
