Ujjain, February 27: A spectacular celestial event is set to occur soon. The first lunar eclipse of the year will take place on March 3. This event is referred to as the “Grastodit Chandra Grahan.” Renowned astrologer Pandit Akshat Vyas shared insights about the eclipse in an exclusive interview.
He explained that the eclipse is named “Grastodit Chandra Grahan” because the moon will be in an eclipsed state as it rises. This means that the eclipse will be visible immediately upon the moon’s emergence. He noted, “The moon will be in the eclipse phase at the time of its rise. This event falls on a Monday evening, which is why it is also called Chudamani Yoga. It is believed that performing charitable acts during Chudamani Yoga yields significant spiritual benefits.”
The lunar eclipse will begin at 3:20 PM, but the moon will not be visible in the sky at that time. In India, the moon will rise around 6:26-6:32 PM, and the eclipse will be visible from then until approximately 6:46-6:47 PM. Thus, the eclipse will only be observable for about 14-20 minutes in India.
Pandit Vyas also discussed potential implications of the eclipse. He mentioned, “During the month of Phalgun (from February 2 to March 3), there are five Tuesdays. The effects of the lunar eclipse may lead to dissatisfaction among people. It could signal political turmoil, conflicts, road accidents, or even maritime storms.”
He further elaborated on the eclipse’s impact on zodiac signs. According to him, Leo will be most affected, as the eclipse will begin in this sign. Virgo and Capricorn should also remain cautious. Those with Leo as their zodiac sign are advised to perform special prayers. For Leo and Capricorn, a remedy is to take a bath after the eclipse. Fill a copper bowl with ghee, place a silver moon, a golden sun, and a snake on it. Then, make a commitment to donate to Brahmins at a riverbank. This could help alleviate misfortune.
