Valsad, May 18: A shocking incident has emerged from Valsad, Gujarat, where the body of a woman was discovered. Upon investigation, authorities identified the murderer as the former husband of the woman’s daughter. It was revealed that the deceased woman had an affair with her former son-in-law, which led to the daughter’s divorce.

According to police reports, the woman’s body was found near Atul Railway Station. The victim was identified as Mayadevi Paswan. As the investigation progressed and neighbors were questioned, it became clear that the daughter had divorced her husband, yet he frequently visited their home.

When police grew suspicious of the former son-in-law, he was taken into custody for questioning. It emerged that he had been in a relationship with Mayadevi for over two years, which was the reason for the daughter’s divorce.

Meanwhile, the former son-in-law had remarried elsewhere. Upon learning this, Mayadevi confronted him, leading to a violent dispute. It was during this altercation that he killed her.

Police reported that on May 14, the accused had summoned Mayadevi for a meeting. Their encounter escalated into an argument, during which he attacked her with stones and weapons. He then bound her body with a saree and disposed of it in a drain.

Authorities noted that the accused frequently visited the woman’s home, a fact known to neighbors. After gathering information from the community, police intensified their investigation, leading to the suspect’s capture. Surveillance checks revealed that his location was near the crime scene on the day of the incident. Under rigorous questioning, he confessed to the crime.
