China Successfully Launches New Batch of Satellites for Space Constellation Project

Beijing, May 18: China successfully launched a new batch of satellites for its “Thousand Sails Constellation” project on May 17 at 10:42 PM. The Long March-8 carrier rocket lifted off from the Wenchang Space Launch Site in Hainan Province.

The satellites entered their designated orbits smoothly, and the launch was deemed a complete success.

The “Thousand Sails Constellation” project is an independent low-orbit satellite internet initiative developed by China. Its primary goal is to provide broadband and internet connectivity services. It is also known as the G60 Starlink.
