Pakistans Hussain Talat Injured During ODI Against Bangladesh, Hospitalized

Dhaka, March 14: The second ODI match between Pakistan and Bangladesh is taking place at the Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium. Pakistan’s all-rounder Hussain Talat suffered a severe injury while fielding and has been admitted to the hospital. He sustained a shoulder injury that required immediate medical attention.

The injury occurred during the sixth over of the second innings when Litton Das hit a shot off Mohammad Wasim towards the off-side. Talat sprinted towards the cover boundary to intercept the ball. As he attempted to throw the ball back, his foot landed on the foam boundary, causing him to stumble and collide with the advertising hoardings, resulting in a hard fall onto his left shoulder. Spectators rushed to his aid, and a stretcher was brought to transport him to the ambulance nearby.

The Pakistan Cricket Board released a statement regarding Talat’s condition. They stated, “Hussain Talat received immediate assistance from the team’s medical staff on the field. After an initial assessment, he was taken to the hospital for further examination. The nature and severity of the injury will be determined after additional medical tests.” Talat had a disappointing performance with the bat, scoring only 9 runs off 13 balls before being dismissed.

After losing the toss, Pakistan batted first and was all out for 274 runs. Maj Sadakat played a remarkable innings, scoring 75 runs off 46 balls. Salman Agha contributed 64 runs from 62 balls, while Mohammad Rizwan managed 44 runs off 59 balls. However, Abdul Samad, Faheem Ashraf, and Shamil Hussain failed to make significant contributions. In bowling, Bangladesh’s Rishad Hussain took 3 wickets for 56 runs, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz claimed 2 wickets.
