Ahmedabad, May 30: The final match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 is set to take place this Sunday between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. As excitement builds, hotel and flight prices are soaring.
RCB features star players like Virat Kohli and Josh Hazlewood, while GT boasts a lineup including Shubman Gill, Jos Buttler, Rashid Khan, Kagiso Rabada, and Mohammed Siraj, heightening fan enthusiasm.
Ahead of the IPL 2026 final, most hotels in Ahmedabad are fully booked for May 30 and 31. Reports indicate that flight fares to Ahmedabad range from ₹17,000 to ₹35,000.
Hotel prices in Ahmedabad have seen a significant increase, with rates reaching up to ₹36,000 per night. Typically, late May is considered off-season for the hotel industry, but many major hotels are already fully booked this year.
During the league stage, RCB won 9 out of 14 matches. They secured a direct spot in the final by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 92 runs in Qualifier 1.
On the other hand, GT also won 9 out of 14 matches during the league phase but faced defeat against RCB in Qualifier 1. However, they bounced back by defeating Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 7 wickets in Qualifier 2 to clinch their place in the final.
RCB and GT have faced each other three times this season. RCB won their match on April 24 by 5 wickets, while they lost to GT by 4 wickets on April 30. RCB later secured a strong victory against GT in Qualifier 1.
