PIB Fact Check Exposes Fake Postal Service Gifts Offers, Urges Public Caution

New Delhi, May 31: A message claiming that India Post is offering gifts and rewards under the name ‘Postal Service Gifts’ has been rapidly circulating on social media. However, the Press Information Bureau (PIB) Fact Check team has declared this claim entirely false.

On Saturday, PIB Fact Check clarified on the social media platform ‘X’ that India Post has no association with any ‘Postal Service Gifts’ offers, reward schemes, or lucky draws. The team warned the public against clicking on suspicious links or websites and advised them not to share personal information, such as bank account details, OTPs, or Aadhaar numbers with anyone.

PIB also stated that if anyone receives a suspicious link, message, photo, or video related to the central government, they can send it to PIB Fact Check for verification.

Previously, the government had alerted the public about another online investment scam. This fraudulent scheme was being promoted under the name of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The so-called investment platform, named ‘Quantum AI,’ falsely claimed that an investment of ₹22,000 would yield monthly returns of ₹3 lakh.

PIB Fact Check made it clear that this scheme has no connection to the Indian government, nor is Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman involved. The government has completely debunked this claim.

The fact-checking unit has urged people to be cautious of investment platforms and links that promise substantial profits in a short time. According to PIB, such schemes aim to deceive individuals and seize their hard-earned money.
