Udaipur: Reaffirming its commitment to rural development and environmental protection, Hindustan Zinc has provided state-of-the-art electric vehicles (EVs) for waste collection to the Bichhadi and Zinc Smelter gram panchayats in Debari. This green initiative marks a significant step toward building cleaner, healthier, and more resilient communities.
The use of electric vehicles is expected to significantly reduce carbon emissions while improving long-term sanitation and health outcomes for residents. The new vehicles will support door-to-door waste collection, directly benefiting nearly 3,000 families in the area by ensuring efficient and eco-friendly solid waste disposal. The vehicle handover ceremony witnessed the presence of village sarpanches, deputy sarpanches, and other local leaders, who welcomed the initiative as a progressive step toward achieving the goals of the Swachh Bharat Mission.
