
Varanasi, April 28: In the sacred city of Kashi, a significant conference for women will take place on Tuesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit his parliamentary constituency, Kashi, for a two-day tour.
The ‘Jan Aakrosh Mahila Sammelan’ will be addressed by Prime Minister Modi, who represents Kashi in Parliament. Organized by the BJP, this event at the Bareka Ground is expected to see participation from around 50,000 women. Notably, the entire event will be managed by women, including the security arrangements, which will involve female police officers.
Discussions at the conference will focus on issues such as women’s respect, safety, self-reliance, and equal opportunities. Additionally, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation for 163 projects worth ₹6,322 crore in Varanasi. He will also flag off two new Amrit Bharat Express trains, which are expected to boost the development of the Purvanchal region.
PM Modi is scheduled to arrive at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Varanasi on April 28, landing by helicopter at the Bareka gathering site around 5 PM. He will be welcomed by Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, and several senior BJP officials, including the party’s national president Nitin Naveen.
On April 29, at 8:30 AM, the Prime Minister will visit the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple for prayers. He may also hold meetings with local representatives and party members. The Modi-Yogi government is rapidly enhancing infrastructure in Purvanchal, with the new projects aimed at balanced and comprehensive development in the region. These initiatives are designed to improve facilities for citizens in both rural and urban areas.
According to reports, PM Modi will also flag off two new Amrit Bharat Express trains connecting Banaras to Pune (Hadapsar) and Ayodhya to Mumbai (Lokmanya Tilak Terminus). The projects include the construction of new roads, railway overbridges, flyovers, and road widening, which will facilitate smoother traffic. The establishment and upgrading of hospitals will strengthen healthcare services, while the development of educational institutions will provide better opportunities for youth. Water supply, sewage, and sanitation projects will empower citizens’ right to a healthy life.
Moreover, the expansion of sports facilities, restoration of ponds and water bodies, construction of STPs, promotion of green energy, development of religious sites and ghats, enhancement of tourism facilities, and improvements in urban infrastructure are part of the comprehensive development agenda. Uttar Pradesh is becoming a benchmark for development and law and order for other states.
Under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Kashi is reaching new heights in development. The Prime Minister is visiting Varanasi to dedicate these development works to the public. He will arrive in the afternoon and take a helicopter from Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport to Bareka. PM Modi will stay overnight at BLW and visit Baba Vishwanath’s temple the next morning.
BJP workers are filled with enthusiasm for the Prime Minister’s visit, preparing to welcome him at five locations, including Banaras Railway Station, Police Line, Lahurabir, Maidagin, and Vishwanath Temple, with drum beats and flower showers, chanting ‘Har-Har Mahadev.’ The Prime Minister will unveil projects worth ₹6,332.08 crore, including the inauguration of 50 projects worth ₹1,054.69 crore and the foundation laying of 113 projects worth ₹5,277.39 crore.
Additionally, PM Modi will transfer ₹105 crore as a bonus to millions of dairy farmers associated with Banasa (Amul). The development projects to be inaugurated include the four-lane widening and strengthening of the Varanasi-Azamgarh road from Kali Mata Temple to the ring road, among others.
