
Ahmedabad, April 29: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has achieved a decisive victory in the local body elections in Gujarat. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel attributed this success to the hard work of every party worker, stating that the lotus has bloomed across the state.
While addressing a victory celebration in Ahmedabad, Patel expressed gratitude to the people of the state. He emphasized that this win reflects the public’s trust in the BJP and the party’s commitment to positive politics focused on development. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gujarat has once again endorsed development-oriented governance.
Patel remarked, “During development resolution meetings, roadshows, and public outreach programs held in districts, talukas, and cities, the people’s mood was clear. They had already decided to ensure the BJP’s victory before voting. With the resolution for a developed India by 2047, the commitment to a developed Gujarat has been further strengthened by this overwhelming mandate.”
He noted that the BJP has consistently showcased its development initiatives to the public and has been recognized for its governance based on development.
Emphasizing responsibility, Patel stated that this grand victory also increases their accountability. He assured that they would continue to serve with transparency, enthusiasm, and dedication, keeping the welfare of the last person in mind. He highlighted that the public has appreciated the policies of good governance and welfare programs, which have led to this historic win.
BJP state president Jagdish Vishwakarma credited both governance and grassroots efforts for this outcome. He stated, “This victory is a result of the public welfare schemes implemented under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and the dedication of BJP workers who serve 365 days a year.”
He added that the public has supported the party’s leadership and development agenda across the state.
Vishwakarma reported that the BJP won in all 15 municipal corporations, 33 out of 34 district panchayats, and 76 out of 84 municipalities in the state.
Targeting the opposition, he remarked, “The public has rejected those who only appear during elections, and such elements will also be eliminated in the 2027 assembly elections.”
The victory celebration was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi, legislators, party officials, newly elected representatives, and party workers.
