Guntur School Students Meet Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan

New Delhi, May 22: A delegation of school students from Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh met Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan at the Vice President’s residence on Thursday.

This group of 41 talented students, including 27 girls from government schools, excelled in their Class 10 examinations and is currently on an educational tour in Delhi.

The Vice President praised the initiative to bring underprivileged students from government schools to Delhi for educational exposure. He emphasized that such tours help students learn beyond the classroom and expand their knowledge. He expressed his happiness while interacting with the students.

C.P. Radhakrishnan noted that all successful individuals face struggles, failures, and obstacles in life. He stated that challenges make a person stronger, more confident, and more determined to succeed.

Advising students not to be disheartened by their current economic situations, he emphasized that education empowers them to achieve success in life.

He reminded the students that many of the country’s great scientists, administrators, teachers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and politicians have emerged from government schools and public institutions.

The Vice President shared that he also studied in a government school in Tamil. He stressed that education is the most powerful tool for transforming lives, uplifting families, strengthening communities, and contributing to national progress.

He urged that government schools should be given more importance and encouraged to perform better. He also called on MPs and MLAs to focus on the reform and strengthening of government schools.

Highlighting the remarkable economic growth of the country over the past decade, he mentioned that India has emerged as one of the fastest-growing major economies in the world. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India is confidently moving towards the dream of becoming a developed nation.

He stated that the dreams and aspirations of students are equally important in India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation by 2047.

C.P. Radhakrishnan expressed his delight that 27 out of the 41 talented students were girls, reflecting the empowerment of women in the country.

The Vice President advised students to stay away from drugs and harmful addictions, including excessive use of social media. He encouraged them to prioritize sports, reading, and creativity, focusing on their studies, goals, and responsibilities towards their families and the nation.

He urged students to always remember three principles: work hard with integrity, remain humble in success, and use knowledge for the welfare of society. He extended his best wishes for a bright, meaningful, and successful future to all students.
