New Delhi, May 21: Leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have strongly criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his comments labeling Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah as “traitors.” BJP’s national spokesperson, R.P. Singh, described Gandhi’s language as inappropriate, rude, and unparliamentary.
In an interview with a news agency, Singh stated, “The kind of language Rahul Gandhi has used is not only inappropriate but also rude and unparliamentary.” He suggested that Gandhi’s remarks stem from desperation and emphasized that such comments are unacceptable. Singh questioned when Gandhi would disclose the agreements made with China, asking whether they serve the country’s interests or betray the nation.
BJP MP from Karnataka, Lahar Singh Siroya, responded to Gandhi’s statements, asserting that there is no need to take him seriously. He urged the media to ignore Gandhi’s childish remarks, stating, “The entire country knows what kind of language he uses.”
Mumbai BJP President Amit Satam accused Gandhi of being the leader of urban Naxals, claiming he spreads fake narratives. Satam asserted that Gandhi has tarnished the image of India, its people, and the government, alleging that he is a puppet of international forces aimed at hindering India’s development and preventing it from becoming a global leader.
Additionally, the saint community has also condemned Gandhi’s remarks as indecent. Saint Yoganand Giri Maharaj criticized Gandhi’s comments against the Prime Minister and Home Minister, urging for decorum in public discussions. He noted that Gandhi’s statements reflect his character, calling them childish. “Words reveal a person’s identity. His speech indicates a lack of qualification. He has been involved in conspiring against India. Gandhi should refrain from such statements, as they have led Congress to fight for its very existence,” he added.
