PM Modi Highlights Key Discussions on Reforms for a Developed India After Cabinet Meeting

New Delhi, May 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi provided insights into the Cabinet meeting held the previous day. He emphasized that the discussions focused on enhancing the ‘Ease of Living’ and ‘Ease of Doing Business’ while advancing necessary reforms.

The Cabinet meeting, chaired by PM Modi upon his return from foreign trips, took place at 5 PM at ‘Seva Tirth’. It included all Cabinet ministers, ministers of state, and independent ministers. This was the first full Cabinet meeting of the year, with the last one occurring on June 4, 2025. However, details regarding the decisions made during the official meeting were not disclosed immediately.

On Friday, PM Modi took to the social media platform ‘X’ to share, “Yesterday, we had a meaningful Cabinet meeting. We exchanged ideas and best practices related to promoting ‘Ease of Living’ and ‘Ease of Doing Business’. We discussed how to further advance reforms to realize our shared dream of a ‘Developed India’.”

Notably, this meeting was held against the backdrop of the ongoing US-Iran conflict and the resulting challenging economic conditions. The government is closely monitoring disruptions in fuel supply, inflation, and rising oil prices amidst the US-Iran tensions.

Recently, the Prime Minister urged citizens to use fuel wisely. He suggested measures such as adopting ‘work from home’ practices and increasing online meetings instead of in-person gatherings. He also advised avoiding gold purchases for at least a year and refraining from international travel.
