BJP Leaders Emphasize Inclusive Development in West Bengals New Government

Kolkata, May 8: Following the Indian National Congress’s sweeping victory in the West Bengal Assembly elections, the announcement of the new Chief Minister is expected soon. BJP leaders have asserted that the aim of the new government will be to ensure inclusive development for all citizens in the state.

BJP MP Jyotirmoy Singh Mahato highlighted that the party secured the highest number of seats reserved for SC-ST communities in Assam and West Bengal. He criticized the Trinamool Congress (TMC) for focusing solely on one segment of the population. “This is the government of Prime Minister Modi, where governance is based on ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’ (Together with all, Development for all, Trust of all),” he stated, emphasizing a commitment to inclusivity.

BJP leader Debashree Choudhury remarked on the party’s unity and mutual support among its members. She pointed out that the central government has ensured representation from all communities in its ministerial appointments.

Reflecting on the historic victory in Bengal, Mahato expressed joy over the overwhelming mandate received by the party. “It is a moment of great happiness after such hard work. Many people across the state are eager to witness the change,” he noted, confirming that the BJP will form a government led by the Chief Minister.

BJP leader Shankar Ghosh reiterated the party’s policy of ensuring representation for individuals from backward or underdeveloped backgrounds. He mentioned that the current President is the first tribal woman to contribute to this cause. “The BJP’s ideology is to promote this thought in our state, as it is practiced in every state,” he added.

He criticized the previous administration under Mamata Banerjee for practicing appeasement politics, asserting that a new government will now serve the people of West Bengal.

BJP leader Ratna Debnath raised concerns about ongoing violence in various areas post-election. She reported that some individuals are posing as BJP supporters while engaging in vandalism. “I visited the police station, and people there mentioned my name, claiming to be close to me. I told them that being ‘close’ doesn’t exempt anyone from the law; if I do something wrong, I should also face legal consequences,” she stated.
