Lucknow, May 19: Pradeep Singh Kabootra, an accused in the sensational Ajit Singh murder case, has officially joined the Subhaspa party. His induction took place in the presence of Om Prakash Rajbhar, a prominent leader of the party.
During an interview, Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar revealed that 51 individuals have joined Subhaspa after leaving the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). He noted that just yesterday, 600 people switched from SP to Subhaspa, expressing their faith in the party’s ideologies and policies.
Regarding protests by the SP, Rajbhar commented that a gathering of 20-25 people is being exaggerated as a large turnout. He asserted that when the time comes, they could mobilize one lakh women for a demonstration. Rajbhar criticized SP leaders for their derogatory remarks about various castes, referencing a recent incident where Rajkumar Bhati made offensive comments about Brahmins.
Ajit Singh, the block chief’s husband, was shot dead on January 6, 2021, in Lucknow’s Vibhutikhand area. Pradeep Singh Kabootra was implicated in aiding and sheltering the shooters involved in this murder.
Kabootra is also reported to have connections with gangster Dhruv Singh Kutu, who is imprisoned in Kasganj, and Rajan Jaat, a sharpshooter associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Under pressure from Lucknow police, Kabootra surrendered in Azamgarh in April 2021.
After his release from jail, Pradeep Singh Kabootra has now embraced the Subhaspa party, which is allied with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Alongside him, Sanjeev Singh Bantu has also joined the party, as confirmed by Om Prakash Rajbhar, the party president and cabinet minister in the Uttar Pradesh government.
