Which Customers Will Be Affected?

  • Lifestyle Home Centre SBI Card

  • Lifestyle Home Centre SBI Card Select

  • Lifestyle Home Centre SBI Prime

According to the official website of SBI Card, starting 1 September 2025, reward points will not be awarded for transactions related to digital gaming and government payments using the Lifestyle Home Centre SBI Card, Lifestyle Home Centre SBI Card Select, and Lifestyle Home Centre SBI Card Prime. This means that if you purchase online gaming credit with these cards or make payments on government portals, no reward points will be credited to your account.

This is not the first time SBI Card has taken such a step. In December 2024, the company had also stopped giving reward points for spending on digital gaming platforms with certain cards.

How Can Customers Use Reward Points and What Are the Charges?

Now, many SBI customers may be wondering how reward points can be used and if there are any charges involved. According to SBI Card rules, a fee of Rs 99 plus tax is applicable for redeeming reward points. This fee is charged as a delivery and processing charge for the selected product.

There is no need to register again to redeem reward points. Customers can use their points by logging in with their existing username and password. However, products purchased with rewards will only be sent to the registered address of the cardholder.
