New Delhi, May 15: Leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) expressed confidence on Friday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming five-nation tour will benefit India and potentially provide a “diplomatic solution” to the global fuel crisis exacerbated by conflicts in West Asia.
Prime Minister Modi will embark on his journey from May 15 to May 20, visiting the United Arab Emirates, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, and Italy. The primary goal of this tour is to strengthen India’s strategic and economic partnerships in key areas such as energy, defense, technology, green transformation, and trade.
BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal stated, “Amid ongoing conflicts in West Asia, Prime Minister Modi’s five-nation tour is undoubtedly significant for India. He will present India’s perspective firmly in these countries, enhancing India’s position and making the country’s role even more impactful.”
Bihar Minister Ramkripal Yadav emphasized the large number of Indians residing and working in the United Arab Emirates, one of the destinations on Modi’s itinerary. He noted, “The Prime Minister is working towards strengthening diplomatic relations.”
Bihar Minister Dilip Jaiswal referenced Prime Minister Modi’s appeal to citizens to reduce diesel and petrol consumption due to the global rise in crude oil prices. He mentioned, “Initiatives based on the Prime Minister’s appeal have already begun.”
He added, “The Prime Minister is also visiting Gulf countries and others to seek a diplomatic resolution to this issue.”
Satish Mahana, Speaker of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, remarked that the Prime Minister engages in dialogue with other nations based on India’s interests. He stated, “Prime Minister Modi’s five-nation tour will be successful in terms of national welfare, covering international relations, trade, and issues related to the current global crisis.”
BJP MP Rahul Sinha supported the notion that this tour is crucial for improving the current global situation and enhancing India’s diplomatic relations with other countries. He asserted, “I believe that Prime Minister Modi’s journey will play a significant role in global peace.”
BJP MP Ghulam Ali Khatana highlighted the improvements in India’s diplomatic relations since Modi took office in 2014. He noted, “It is part of Prime Minister Modi’s vision that countries that previously did not trade with us are now willing to invest in India.”
He emphasized that nations like Russia, the United States, the Middle East, and even the European Union are now keen to invest in India and have opened their markets to the country.
