Amit Shah Inaugurates Public Welfare Center in Bastar, Pays Tribute to Martyrs

Raipur, May 18: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the ‘Shaheed Veer Gundadhur Seva Dera’ in Netanar village, Bastar district, Chhattisgarh, on Monday. This public welfare center is situated within the premises of the Central Reserve Police Force camp.

During his first visit to Bastar after the complete eradication of Naxalite violence in the region, Shah described this initiative as a significant step towards development, job creation, and self-reliance.

The event was attended by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Vijay Sharma, State President Kiran Dev, Minister Kedar Kashyap, and a large number of local villagers and representatives.

At the ceremony, Amit Shah paid heartfelt tributes to the brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for peace, security, and progress in Bastar. He emphasized that the sacrifices made by security personnel to establish stability and order in the region would always be remembered and would never be in vain. Both the central and state governments are committed to ensuring lasting peace in the area and making sure that the benefits of development reach the last person.

During the visit, the Home Minister also met with the families of soldiers Kalendra Prasad Nayak and Pawan Kumar Mandavi, who were martyred in a Naxalite attack in Bijapur. Sitting with the grieving families, Shah expressed his condolences and assured them of all possible administrative and financial support from the government.

He also interacted with the security personnel stationed in the region, commending their bravery and dedication while boosting their morale.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai reiterated that Chhattisgarh would never forget the valor and sacrifices of its martyrs. He emphasized that the state government is moving forward with sensitivity and commitment to ensure the dignity, security, and welfare of the martyrs’ families.

He stated that Bastar is now entering a new era marked by peace, trust, and development, highlighting the crucial role played by security forces in this transformation.
