Telangana BJP President Rejects Resignation Demands for Union Minister Bandisanjay

Hyderabad, May 18: Telangana BJP President N. Ramchandra Rao dismissed calls for the resignation of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandisanjay Kumar, following the arrest of his son, Bandis Bhagirath, in a POCSO case.
Ramchandra Rao stated that Bandisanjay has done nothing wrong, making the demands for his resignation or dismissal unjustified. He accused the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) of targeting the central minister through malicious propaganda.
During a press conference, he asserted that BRS leaders are using false narratives to attack an individual and his family. “Bandisanjay has committed no wrongdoing. If any family member has acted improperly, legal action will follow,” he emphasized.
He further alleged that the BRS is spending millions on posters across the state to target Bandisanjay. He criticized BRS Executive President K.T. Rama Rao for spreading false information.
Ramchandra Rao questioned why KCR and KTR did not resign when Kalvakuntla Kavitha was implicated in wrongdoing, referencing her arrest in the Delhi liquor policy case. He challenged the BRS’s moral standing, accusing its leaders of embezzling millions in a liquor scam.
He also pointed out the 67% rise in crimes against women during the BRS administration, questioning KCR and KTR’s silence on this issue. He mentioned the Jubilee Hills rape case and allegations of sexual harassment against a BRS MLA by a woman sarpanch.
The BJP leader claimed that K. Chandrashekar Rao and KTR should have been arrested in the Kaleshwaram and e-car race cases, but this has not occurred due to collusion between Congress and BRS.
Meanwhile, Ramchandra Rao participated in the ‘My India, My Contribution’ event at the party office. He urged BJP workers to reduce unnecessary fuel consumption, promote indigenous products, and adopt financial discipline to contribute to a self-reliant India, echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal.
He stated, “In these times of global challenges, PM Modi’s appeal is crucial for national interests. We must embrace fuel conservation and an eco-friendly lifestyle, fulfilling our ‘Nation First’ responsibility. Our small efforts will pave the way for significant changes in the future.”
Ramchandra Rao also shared on X that he arrived at the event in an electric vehicle to promote EV usage. He called this a vital step towards a clean and green future, supporting energy conservation and pollution control.
He wrote, “The future belongs to electric vehicles. Support PM Modi’s vision of building an environmentally friendly nation by reducing dependence on petrol and diesel. By adopting EVs in our daily lives, we can collectively move towards a self-reliant India and sustainable development.”
