Oslo, May 18: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was deeply moved by a performance by both domestic and foreign artists in Norway. He expressed his admiration for the captivating presentation through a series of posts on X.
In three consecutive posts, he showcased the beautiful diversity of Indian culture presented by the Indian community in Oslo. He noted, “The ‘Rhythms of India’ performance today provided a stunning glimpse into India’s cultural richness. From Sattriya to Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi to Odissi, and Kathak to Mohiniyattam, each dance form carries with it a tradition of years of dedication, discipline, and excellence.”
PM Modi further stated, “I am proud that our expatriate Indian community is keeping India’s cultural heritage vibrant and strong.”
During the welcoming ceremony, young girls also delivered enchanting classical dance performances. PM Modi highlighted, “During a major welcome event, the Natyaalay Dance School group presented ‘Alarippu’ associated with Bharatanatyam. This team has been working for nearly three decades to popularize Indian cultural traditions in Norway. Such efforts are truly commendable.”
A delightful performance of ‘Aarti Om Jai Jagdish’ was also presented, featuring a blend of domestic and foreign artists. PM Modi remarked, “The performance of ‘Saath Saath’ beautifully symbolized unity through music, culture, and shared artistic spirit. I thank the team from the Berit Duo Music Institute for this harmonious fusion of Indian and Western classical traditions.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Oslo on Monday, where he was warmly welcomed by Støre at the airport. The two leaders discussed several important topics, including trade, investment, green energy, and global issues, focusing on strengthening ties between India and Norway.
