Shahdol, 24 November (Daily Kiran). Dietmar Beiersdorff, coach of Germany’s reputed football club FC Ingolstadt 4, will visit Vicharpur village in Shahdol district on Monday. Popularly known as “Mini Brazil,” the village has earned national and international recognition for its football talent. During his visit, Beiersdorff will meet trained footballers from Germany as well as other players from “Mini Brazil,” sharing guidance and his personal experience.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier praised the football team of Vicharpur in his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme and other global platforms, giving the village its “Mini Brazil” identity. Following this recognition, FC Ingolstadt 4 offered training opportunities to players and coaches from Vicharpur from 4 to 12 October 2025.
A total of five players and one female coach were selected for the training programme. Those chosen included coach Laxmi Sahis, and players Saniya Kunde, Suhani Kol, Pritam Kumar, Virendra Baiga and Manish Ghasia. Known as “Mini Brazil,” Vicharpur continues to bring pride to Madhya Pradesh with its passionate and talented footballers.
