Los Angeles, May 19: Zahra Marley Jolie, the daughter of Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, is making headlines once again. Recently, Zahra removed her father’s surname from her name, leading to a flurry of discussions on social media.
Zahra recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. During her graduation ceremony, her name was announced as ‘Zahra Marley Jolie.’ Although her official name at college was listed as ‘Zahra Marley Jolie-Pitt,’ attendees noticed the absence of ‘Pitt’ when her name was called on stage.
In November 2023, when Zahra joined the student organization Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, she introduced herself simply as ‘Zahra Marley Jolie.’ This omission of her father’s surname was also noted at that time. The recent graduation ceremony has intensified the conversation around her name change.
In April, Zahra attended a special event where she openly discussed her relationship with her mother, Angelina Jolie. This event was dedicated to the mother-daughter bond. Zahra expressed, “The understanding between my mother and me is very special. She has played a significant role in my life, teaching me love, compassion, and the importance of helping others.”
Zahra shared that she was adopted when she was just six months old. “I found a family that has always given me love and acceptance. My mother taught me that being a good person is the most important thing in life. In a world where people often avoid helping others, she instilled in me the value of humanity.”
Praising her mother, Zahra stated, “She is a selfless, wise, and loving woman. I consider myself lucky to have a mother who has always inspired me to be strong.”
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have a total of six children, including twins Vivienne and Knox, daughter Shiloh, and sons Pax and Maddox. Over the past few years, there have been continuous reports about the relationship between Angelina and Brad.
