Warsaw, February 19: Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has urgently advised Polish citizens to leave Iran. This warning comes amidst escalating tensions between Iran and the United States, as reported by various international media outlets.

According to CNN, the U.S. may launch an attack on Iran this week, pending final approval from President Donald Trump.

In light of these developments, Tusk has made a strong appeal for Polish nationals currently in Iran to exit the country without delay. He cautioned that due to the potential for armed conflict, it may soon become impossible to leave.

“Please leave Iran immediately… and do not travel to this country under any circumstances,” Tusk stated during a media briefing near Warsaw. “I do not wish to instill fear, but we all understand the gravity of the situation. The risk of conflict is real.”

The Prime Minister warned that “in just a few hours, it may no longer be possible for people to evacuate.” He urged Polish citizens to take this warning seriously.

The Polish government has not disclosed how many citizens are currently in Iran, but further guidelines from the Foreign Ministry are expected soon.

Tusk remarked, “Our past experiences have been troubling. Some people tend to underestimate such warnings.”

According to the Wall Street Journal, the U.S. has deployed its largest air force presence in the Middle East since the 2003 Iraq War. This military action led to a prolonged and dangerous conflict known as the “Shock and Awe” bombing campaign.

Reports indicate that the U.S. has stationed several squadrons of advanced fighter jets, including F-35s, F-22s, F-15s, and F-16s, in the region. Command and control aircraft necessary for large-scale air operations are also being sent. Recent weeks have seen the installation of air defense systems in the area.

Axios reports that if the U.S. undertakes military action, it could be a significant operation lasting several weeks. This operation is expected to be much larger than last month’s limited action in Venezuela and may involve coordination with Israel, targeting Iran’s nuclear and missile infrastructure.

President Donald Trump is contemplating military action against Iran. While negotiations regarding Iran’s nuclear program are ongoing, U.S. officials indicate that no substantial progress has been made.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reiterated on Tuesday that Iran, a signatory of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), will not relinquish its right to nuclear technology for peaceful purposes and will not compromise on this right.
