Bengaluru, October 14 (Daily Kiran): The Karnataka Lokayukta conducted raids on the residences and offices of 12 government officials across the state on Monday. The action was taken following allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to their known sources of income.

According to an official release, the raids were carried out simultaneously in Bengaluru, Hassan, Kalaburagi, Chitradurga, Udupi, Davanagere, Haveri, and Bagalkot districts.
The officials under investigation include Manjunath G, Medical Officer at Mallasandra Heritage Hospital, Bengaluru; V. Sumangala, Director, Karnataka Higher Education Board; N.K. Gangamari Gowda, Surveyor and Special Land Acquisition Officer, BMRCL; Jyothi Mary, First Division Assistant, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Hassan; Dhulappa, Assistant Director, Agriculture Department, Kalaburagi; Chandrakumar, Assistant Director, Agriculture Department, Chitradurga; Lakshminarayan P. Naik, Officer, Regional Transport Department, Udupi; Jagdish Naik, Assistant Executive Engineer, Karnataka Rural Infrastructure Development Limited, Davanagere; B.S. Dhadrimani, Junior Engineer, Karnataka Food and Civil Supplies Corporation, Davanagere; Ashok, Revenue Officer, Ranebennur Taluk, Haveri; Basavesh, In-charge Executive Officer, Savanur Taluk Panchayat, Haveri; and Chetan, Junior Engineer, Almatti Right Bank Canal, Bagalkot.
The Lokayukta stated that the raids aimed to gather evidence regarding the alleged accumulation of illegal wealth by these officials. Further investigations are underway.
