Which Credit Cards Are Affected?

The changes apply specifically to the following cards:

  • Lifestyle Home Centre SBI Card

  • Lifestyle Home Centre SBI Select Card

  • Lifestyle Home Centre SBI Prime Card

If you use any of these cards, you need to pay close attention to the new terms.

Key Changes to Reward Points

According to the updated rules, no reward points will be awarded for certain types of online payments. In particular:

  • Payments made on online gaming platforms with these cards will not earn reward points.

  • Payments on any government website using these cards will also not receive reward points.

This means cardholders will no longer earn rewards for these transactions from September 1, 2025.

Updates to the Card Protection Plan

From September 16, 2025, customers enrolled in the card protection plan will be automatically moved to an updated plan variant. Before this happens, SBI will notify customers via email. The card protection plan helps compensate for financial losses if your credit card is lost. Cardholders are advised to carefully read and understand the details of the new protection plan.

Check Details on the Official Website

SBI credit card holders should review the complete details of the new rules by visiting the official website. Staying updated will help ensure a smooth experience and avoid future issues.
