
Madhya Pradesh, May 21: Governor Mangubhai Patel participated in a dialogue program with the tribal community in Aamla village, Pandhurna, on Thursday. He emphasized that various schemes run by the central government have significantly improved housing, health, and welfare for the tribal community.
During the event, he praised the captivating performances of traditional folk dances and songs by tribal artists, calling them a symbol of the region’s rich cultural heritage.
While visiting Pandhurna district, Governor Patel shared a meal with Raju Dhurve, a beneficiary of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, at his home in Khutama village.
He stated that the Ayushman Bharat scheme is a groundbreaking initiative providing health security to every individual. The program has offered substantial relief for treating serious illnesses. He noted that every person over 70 years of age is also eligible for treatment under this scheme. Many families have expressed to him that their dream of a permanent home has been realized through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He commended the efforts being made in the state for the testing and treatment of sickle cell disease.
Governor Patel highlighted the importance of organic products produced by farmers for human health. He encouraged farmers to adopt natural and organic farming practices. This statement was made during his discussions with farmers at a stall showcasing organic products set up by the Department of Farmer Welfare and Agricultural Development in Aamla village. He gathered information from farmer Matarulal Dongre about his organic turmeric and tuar dal, as well as from farmer Moreishwar Danve regarding his sugar-free organic black potatoes and natural golden pearl wheat.
Students from Sandipani School in Saunsar welcomed the governor with a traditional song. Students from Government High School Aamla performed an impressive Gond dance. Governor Patel distributed benefits to various scheme beneficiaries, including disability certificates, food baskets for tuberculosis patients, Ayushman cards, assistance for beneficiaries of the Bhagwan Birsa Munda Self-Employment Scheme, soil health cards for farmers, and benefits from the Madhya Pradesh State Livelihood Mission and Animal Husbandry Department.
On this occasion, Collector Neeraj Kumar Vashistha honored Governor Patel by presenting him with a statue of the famous Shri Hanuman Temple in Jamsawli. The event was attended by regional MP Vivek Banti Sahu, MLA Vijay Choure, MLA Nilesh Uike, and several other representatives.
