Lucknow, May 21: Political tensions have escalated following Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s recent remarks about Prime Minister Modi. Shishir Chaturvedi, national spokesperson for the All India Hindu Mahasabha, has submitted a petition to file an FIR against Gandhi. He stated that the FIR will be lodged soon.
Chaturvedi spoke to a news agency, asserting, “Congress MPs consistently make such derogatory statements. In a previous incident, he faced consequences that affected his parliamentary membership. Once again, during a public gathering in Raebareli, he made controversial comments regarding the Prime Minister, the Home Minister, and the RSS. I want to ask him on what basis he made such statements.”
He emphasized that the entire nation respects PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, and Gandhi’s remarks aim to belittle them. “Not only that, but he also makes statements against them abroad, which is detrimental to the country. Such baseless comments should not be made. I have called for an FIR against Rahul Gandhi, and it will be filed soon. After that, I will question him about his right to make such statements,” he added.
It is noteworthy that Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, made these controversial remarks about PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah during a recent event in Raebareli.
He stated, “An economic storm is coming, and the central government will not be able to save you. They will tell you to cry and say it’s not my fault. I am telling you, the fault lies solely with them. They have dismantled the Constitution.”
Additionally, he mentioned that prior to the elections, it was claimed there would be no shortage of petrol and gas, and that petrol prices would not rise. However, with current increases in petrol prices, the government seems indifferent.
