IPL 2026: Fans Gather at Narendra Modi Stadium for CSK vs GT Match, Missing Dhonis Presence

Ahmedabad, May 21: The 66th match of IPL 2026 is taking place today at the Narendra Modi Stadium, featuring Chennai Super Kings (CSK) against Gujarat Titans (GT). While fans are excited about the match, many are feeling the absence of legendary wicketkeeper-batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Prakash Parmar, who attended the match, expressed, “This is the world’s largest stadium, and we take pride in it. I expect Mohammad Siraj to perform exceptionally well as a bowler, while Sanju Samson has high expectations as a batsman. We might see a flurry of boundaries from Gill’s bat. I wish Dhoni were playing today.”

Jaivik shared his enthusiasm, stating, “I came here to see Chennai Super Kings win. Sanju Samson and Ruturaj Gaikwad could deliver outstanding performances for CSK, while Shubman Gill might shine for Gujarat Titans. We could see a target of 200 runs in this match.”

Nisarg, who traveled from Vadodara, said, “I hope Chennai Super Kings will claim victory today. We might witness a target exceeding 200 runs in this match.”

Shweta Gupta, attending the match with her family from Pune, remarked, “I want Gujarat Titans to win, while my husband is a fan of Chennai Super Kings. This could be a high-scoring match.”

Lakshya Chaudhary, who came from Bikaner, expressed, “I feel great to be here. However, I miss Mahendra Singh Dhoni not playing. We are supporters of Chennai Super Kings and hope Sanju Samson and Ruturaj Gaikwad perform brilliantly.”
