Jaipur, October 25 (Daily Kiran) — The Rajasthan Police has intensified its war against organized crime as Director General of Police (DGP) Rajeev Kumar Sharma chaired a high-level meeting at the Police Headquarters on Saturday, directing officers across the state to take swift and decisive action against active criminal gangs and hardcore offenders.

The meeting was attended by senior officials including AGTF in-charge Dinesh M.N., ADG Biju George Joseph, Jaipur Police Commissioner Sachin Mittal, ADG Crime Hawa Singh, as well as officers from ATS/SOG, Bikaner, Ajmer, Jodhpur ranges, and 15 district SPs along with DST and Cyber Cell in-charges.
Zero-Tolerance Policy Against Organized Crime
DGP Sharma reaffirmed that Rajasthan Police is operating under a zero-tolerance policy against organized crime, stressing that the priority is to instill a strong sense of safety and confidence among citizens.
“Our mission is clear — to dismantle the entire criminal ecosystem, not just target individual offenders. Every police officer must work to their fullest capacity to ensure public safety,” Sharma stated.
He instructed district police units to take immediate action against individuals involved in gang operations, extortion, firing incidents, and murders. Sharma also directed police teams to identify and monitor all active gangs, seize their properties, and target their financial networks and associates.
Crackdown Beyond Criminals
In a firm message, DGP Sharma said action would extend beyond the main offenders to their aides, financiers, and social media promoters who glorify criminal activities online. He emphasized information sharing and coordination among districts and ranges, using both traditional policing and advanced technology to track and neutralize gang operations.
He further instructed that under Section 111 BNS, strict preventive measures be taken against active gang members to discourage criminal behavior.
Review of Firing, Murder, and Extortion Cases
The DGP reviewed pending cases of firing, murder, and intimidation, directing officers to prioritize arrests of absconding criminals and expedite court charge-sheet submissions. He also highlighted the need for technical analysis of phone call threats received by citizens and warned that no atmosphere of fear or intimidation would be tolerated in Rajasthan.

-
ADG Dinesh M.N. outlined strategies to track and arrest gang members involved in serious offences.
-
ADG Biju George Joseph stressed consistent follow-up on every criminal’s activities.

15-Minute Crime Status Presentation
