
New Delhi, April 10: Ayush Badoni of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) made headlines in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 by scoring a half-century against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Thursday. This achievement makes him the highest-scoring batsman for LSG batting at number 4 or lower, with seven 50+ scores to his name.
In the 15th match of the season, held at Eden Gardens, Badoni batted at number four and scored 54 runs off 34 balls, hitting 2 sixes and 7 fours.
Following Badoni on the list is Nicholas Pooran, who has accomplished this feat five times. Deepak Hooda and Marcus Stoinis share the third spot with four 50+ scores each.
Badoni has played exclusively for LSG in his IPL career. Since 2022, this right-handed batsman has participated in 59 matches, amassing 1,029 runs at an average of 26.38, including 7 half-centuries.
He is the third batsman to cross the 1,000-run mark for LSG. KL Rahul leads this list with 1,410 runs, while Nicholas Pooran follows closely with 1,403 runs.
In Thursday’s match, KKR batted first, scoring 181 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. Ankur Raghuwanshi was the top scorer with 45 runs, while captain Ajinkya Rahane contributed 41 runs. Rovman Powell and Cameron Green added 39 and 32 runs, respectively, to the total.
In response, LSG achieved victory by scoring 14 runs in the final over, winning by 3 wickets.
