Saptaak Talwar and Dhruv Sheoran Share Top Spot After Third Round of DP World PGTI Championship

Ahmedabad, March 14: In a thrilling third round of the DP World PGTI Indoorama Ventures Open Golf Championship 2026, held at the Kalhaar Blues and Greens Golf Club, Saptaak Talwar and Dhruv Sheoran have emerged as co-leaders.

Both players are tied at eight-under 208, with Talwar scoring 68-71-69 and Sheoran achieving 69-69-70. Talwar’s flawless score of 69 allowed him to climb three spots, while Sheoran’s 70 moved him up one position on the leaderboard.

Manu Gandas recorded the lowest score of the day with a 67, propelling him to third place at seven-under 209. Aryaman Aditya Mohan also matched the day’s best score of 67, finishing tied for fourth with Arjun Prasad (69) and France’s Clément Sordet (71) at six-under 210.

Talwar, who shared fourth place on Friday, showcased a strong performance on Saturday, establishing himself as a serious contender. The Greater Noida resident and last year’s DP World PGTI champion made three birdies from distances of 10 to 20 feet on the fourth, eighth, and twelfth holes.

“I am giving myself plenty of chances to make birdies,” Talwar stated. “The putter hasn’t been as cooperative as I would like, but I’ve managed to avoid mistakes with only three bogeys over the first three days. I feel my game is progressing in the right direction. This course is quite challenging from the tees, and I believe I’ve performed well with my tee shots so far.”

Sheoran, who was in third place on Friday and just one shot behind the leader, continued his consistent play. The Gurugram native, a three-time title winner, made four birdies against two bogeys on Saturday, sinking several putts from distances of 10 to 15 feet.

Dhruv, who won the DP World PGTI’s ’72 The League’ last week, remarked, “I stuck to my game plan. I kept reminding myself to keep the ball in play. When the wind picked up, I kept the ball low. This adaptability helped me perform well under the conditions. I am excited to compete in the fourth round and will leverage my experiences from the past two weeks in ’72 The League,’ which prepared me well for challenging situations.”
