Kolkata, June 4: BJP MLA Deepanjan Kumar Guha has criticized the Trinamool Congress (TMC), labeling it a weak party plagued by internal strife and lacking ideology. He stated that the party has devolved into a one-leader structure, with rising discontent among its members.
Discussing the alleged rift within TMC, Guha remarked, “Our stance on TMC has always been clear: after losing power, it will shatter like a glass house. We have always anticipated this outcome.”
He emphasized that TMC lacks any ideals or policies, with the sole focus being on retaining power. This, he argued, has inevitably led to conflicts among TMC leaders.
Guha further noted that no leader within TMC is willing to accept Abhishek Banerjee‘s leadership. Any leader with even a hint of self-respect would find it impossible to work under him.
He mentioned that all 30 councilors in Chandannagar have resigned from their posts, abandoning their responsibilities. In light of this situation, the government has no recourse left. To prevent disruption in public services, administrative officials have been appointed as administrators.
Guha stated that these administrators will remain in place until local body elections are held. He acknowledged that the public may face some inconveniences due to the absence of elected representatives, which can hinder communication. He assured that BJP workers have been instructed to assist the public. He expressed gratitude for the government’s arrangement to minimize difficulties for the people.
