Beijing, September (Udaipur Kiran News) — Xiaomi has quietly introduced its latest portable audio device, the Redmi Bluetooth Speaker 2, in China. Priced at just 99 yuan (around $14), the compact speaker offers durability, portability, and surprisingly useful features for its budget segment.
Design and Build
The Redmi Bluetooth Speaker 2 comes in matte black, mist green, and coral orange. It sports a circular fabric mesh design on the front with a glossy waistline for a sleek finish. Weighing roughly the same as an apple, the speaker is lightweight and portable, with a detachable metal hook included for clipping onto backpacks or belt loops.
Audio and Features
The device is powered by a 1.5-inch 5W full-range driver paired with a large passive radiator, designed to boost bass while maintaining balance. Users can also pair two units for a stereo setup.
The speaker supports up to 5 hours of playback on its 1,000mAh battery and charges via USB-C. Uniquely, it can double as a USB sound card when connected to a computer and also features a microSD card slot for standalone music playback.
