Mumbai, September 25 (Patrika English News): The Mumbai Indians have named former Australia cricketer and two-time World Cup winner Lisa Keightley as the new Head Coach of their women’s team.

Keightley, a member of Australia’s title-winning squads in 1997 and 2005, is widely regarded as one of the most respected coaches in women’s cricket. She succeeds with a strong coaching background, having led Australia, England, and top franchise sides across global leagues.
The Mumbai Indians Women, already the most successful team in Women’s Premier League (WPL) history with two titles in three seasons (2023 and 2025), see her appointment as a step towards further strengthening their dominance.

Playing career: Represented Australia in 9 Tests, 82 ODIs, and 1 T20I, known as a stylish opening batter.
