New Delhi, June 17: A devastating accident in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, has resulted in the deaths of six individuals, with several others injured. The incident occurred due to a collision between a tractor and an e-rickshaw. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have expressed their sorrow over this tragic event.
Prime Minister Modi conveyed his condolences and wished for the swift recovery of the injured. A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office on social media platform ‘X’ stated that the loss of lives in the Badaun accident is deeply saddening. He extended his sympathies to the affected families and hoped for the quick recovery of the injured.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also expressed his grief regarding the incident and instructed officials to ensure proper medical care for the injured. He wrote on ‘X’ that the loss of life in this unfortunate road accident in Badaun is extremely distressing. His thoughts are with the bereaved families.
He further mentioned that district administration officials have been directed to promptly transport the injured to hospitals for appropriate treatment. He prayed to Lord Ram for the departed souls to attain peace, for the grieving families to find strength, and for the injured to recover swiftly.
The District Magistrate reported that the incident is linked to the Ujhani police jurisdiction. The collision between the e-rickshaw and the tractor resulted in six fatalities. Following the news, numerous officials arrived at the scene and the hospital.
According to the District Magistrate, the e-rickshaw passengers were en route to a family event when the accident occurred. Three individuals are currently receiving treatment at a medical college, with two reported in critical condition. The District Magistrate also indicated that if necessary, the injured could be transferred for better medical care.
Reports suggest that the tractor involved was racing, leading to the accident. However, the District Magistrate stated that an investigation is ongoing, and further clarity will be provided later. He confirmed that two tractors have been seized in connection with the incident.
