Ayodhya, June 26: The controversy surrounding donations for the Ram Temple is intensifying. Santosh Dubey, a former ‘karsevak’ and head of the Dharma Sena, has raised serious questions about the operations of the trust, police administration, and investigative agencies. He alleges that efforts are being made to protect the main accused while implicating lesser individuals. The filed FIR and the actions of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) do not appear to be entirely impartial.
In an interview, Dubey stated that the complaint filed by the trust seems to be a carefully crafted response following the actual events. He believes the entire process is aimed at determining who should be protected and who should be accused. He reported that he submitted a complaint on the 16th, but no action was taken. Subsequently, a second complaint led to a swift FIR being registered.
Dubey pointed out that no action was taken against those named in his complaint. He questioned why the investigative agencies did not include these individuals in their inquiry if their roles were indeed suspicious. This raises concerns about the intentions of the trust, administration, and governance. If the investigation were fair, all allegations and names would be examined equally.
He also criticized the methodology of the SIT handling the case. Dubey claimed that many details related to the investigation have already been made public, compromising its integrity. Some officials on the SIT have previously investigated contentious issues related to the temple and trust, but no substantial results emerged from those cases. This has led to public skepticism regarding the investigation.
Dubey highlighted that past issues related to land and financial matters concerning the temple have also raised questions, yet appropriate actions were not taken. Consequently, the credibility of the current investigation is under scrutiny. This issue is tied to the religious sentiments and faith of millions. Therefore, the investigation process must be entirely transparent and credible to maintain public trust.
He also referenced old disputes related to the Ram Fakire Temple, stating that many questions remain unanswered regarding certain decisions and actions associated with the temple. A transparent review of these matters is essential to present all facts to the public. Transparency and accountability in matters related to religious sites are crucial, as they are connected to the faith of millions of devotees.
The Dharma Sena leader has called for the investigation to be conducted by a completely independent and impartial agency, ensuring that no influential individual is shielded. He emphasized that if anyone is found guilty during the investigation, strict legal action should be taken against them.
