The State Bank of India (SBI) has once again drawn attention from banking job aspirants with the announcement of its SBI Clerk 2025 recruitment for 6,589 Junior Associate posts. While eligibility and exam details are crucial, the salary structure remains the key attraction for most candidates.

According to the latest SBI notifications, the starting basic pay for an SBI Clerk is ₹26,730, which includes two advance increments for graduates. With various allowances, the total gross salary is ₹45,888. After standard deductions of about ₹6,359, the net in-hand salary stands at approximately ₹39,529.

Key Allowances (Current Structure):

  • Dearness Allowance (DA): ₹7,161 (17.20%)

  • House Rent Allowance (HRA): ₹2,862

  • Transport Allowance: ₹850

  • Special Allowance: ₹7,083

  • Special Pay: ₹1,200

Actual take-home salary can vary depending on the posting location. Clerks in urban branches generally receive higher HRA compared to those in rural postings.
