Mumbai, June 4: Actor and television host Shekhar Suman is once again in the spotlight for his unique style and quick wit. During an episode of his chat show ‘Shekhar Tonight’, he made amusing remarks about Bollywood and the entertainment industry while conversing with actor Ali Fazal.
Shekhar Suman shared a video from the show on social media, featuring Ali Fazal discussing his online fashion brand and its journey. Ali revealed that he started a small brand of chikankari clothing from home, which has now evolved into an online store.
Ali mentioned that the brand was named on the suggestion of his aunt. Initially run from home, its popularity has been steadily increasing. He also noted that the brand’s demand is rising not just in India but also internationally, with plans for global expansion.
During the conversation, Shekhar asked Ali if they were organizing pop-up stores in various locations. Ali confirmed that they had recently begun this initiative.
Shekhar then humorously remarked, “You’ve just started this work. Now we are alike, but that’s a good thing. At least we are inspiring people to wear clothes. Otherwise, in the industry we work in, fewer clothes are usually worn.”
His comment elicited laughter from the audience present on the set. Later, he shared the video on social media with the caption, “When two brands meet… one sells clothes, while the other tries to stay relevant in an industry that often tries to remove them.”
With the return of ‘Shekhar Tonight’, Shekhar Suman has made a comeback to the late-night talk show scene after nearly 14 years. The show is produced by his son, Adhyayan Suman.
