Patna, May 30: Lalu Prasad Yadav, the leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has traveled to Singapore for a routine health check-up. Upon his arrival at Singapore Airport, he received a warm welcome from his daughter, Rohini Acharya. A heartfelt video of their emotional reunion has quickly gone viral on social media.
During their long-awaited meeting, Rohini Acharya became emotional and embraced her father at the airport. Other family members were also present, contributing to the touching atmosphere.
Reports indicate that Lalu Yadav brought along mangoes, lychees, laddoos, and other homemade items from India, which he intended for family members residing in Singapore.
Rohini Acharya shared the video of their meeting on social media, expressing deep affection for her father. In her emotional message, she stated that it felt as if God himself had visited their home. She referred to her father as the center of her world, saying that all four pilgrimage sites had come home to her, and even the dust from his feet was like a blessing.
It is noteworthy that Lalu Prasad Yadav underwent a kidney transplant in Singapore in 2022. At that time, Rohini Acharya donated one of her kidneys to save her father’s life. Since the successful transplant, Lalu Yadav has periodically traveled to Singapore for regular health check-ups and follow-up consultations.
According to close family sources, this trip is also solely for a scheduled medical check-up. During his stay in Singapore, he will reside at Rohini Acharya’s home.
Rohini Acharya has been active not only in her family role but also in politics. She contested as the RJD candidate from the Saran parliamentary seat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, actively participating in Bihar’s political landscape.
In recent years, there have been reports of disagreements within the family and party circles. Rohini publicly accused some close associates of Tejashwi Yadav of unfair treatment and blamed them for her electoral defeat. She also expressed dissatisfaction regarding a perceived lack of respect.
Following these incidents, Rohini has reportedly distanced herself from several family events. Recently, she did not attend the birthday celebration of Tejashwi Yadav’s son, Iraz, while most family members were present at the event.
