New Delhi, August 28: Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan will begin a three-day tour on Saturday, visiting Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, and Lakshadweep. During this trip, he will participate in various events related to education, culture, and social initiatives.
According to an official statement, the Vice President will first travel to Erode, Tamil Nadu, on August 29 to attend the founder’s day celebration of the Kongu Vellalar Institute of Technology Trust.
Following this, he will head to Bengaluru, where he will be the chief guest at the birth centenary celebrations of former Karnataka Chief Minister Ramakrishna Hegde. This event will take place at Vidhana Soudha.
On August 30, the Vice President will visit Kerala. He will first attend the 115th foundation day celebration of Kerala Kaumudi in Alappuzha, which will be held at Leo XIII Higher Secondary School.
Next, he will travel to Pathanamthitta to inaugurate the Aranmula Water Festival 2026. Later, he will arrive in Thiruvananthapuram to inaugurate the Onam pageantry, part of Kerala’s major cultural festival.
On August 31, the Vice President will visit Agatti Island in Lakshadweep, where he will be the chief guest at a public relations event organized by the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying. Afterward, he will return to Kerala to participate in the silver jubilee celebration of Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology in Kakkanad, along with the Confluence 3.0 Industry-Academic Conference.
Earlier on Friday, Vice President Radhakrishnan extended his greetings to the nation on the occasion of World Sanskrit Day. On the social media platform X, he stated, “Sanskrit is the eternal language of India’s knowledge, philosophy, and civilization. For centuries, Sanskrit has shaped India’s rich cultural heritage and intellectual traditions.” He urged people to commit to preserving, promoting, and advancing this invaluable heritage.
