Beijing, August 28: The Chinese State Council’s News Office held a press briefing on Friday, outlining the development of service trade in China and providing details about the upcoming 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS).
The briefing announced that the 2026 CIFTIS will be held from September 9 to 13 in Beijing. Approximately 90 countries and international organizations will set up pavilions, with over 1,800 enterprises participating.
Norway will serve as the guest country, establishing a national pavilion to showcase its unique businesses and innovations. Meanwhile, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region will be the guest province, hosting special exhibitions and themed events.
For the first time, the fair will feature a ‘Going Global Services’ zone within several themed exhibitions. This initiative aims to provide professional support for Chinese companies looking to expand into global markets, enhancing the reach of superior “Chinese services” worldwide.
The fair will primarily highlight new technologies, solutions, and achievements in service trade sectors such as information and communication, digital healthcare, intelligent education, energy conservation, and environmental protection. More than 90 companies and organizations will announce their achievements during the event.
