Itanagar, September 9 (Daily Kiran) : Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan visited Doni Polo Mission School in Itanagar on Wednesday, engaging with students, teachers, and staff. During his visit, he toured various activities at the institution and addressed the students.
In his speech, Radhakrishnan expressed that the visit filled him with deep emotion and patriotism, especially after listening to the students sing “Vande Mataram.” He noted the sincerity in their voices, which reflected their heartfelt love for the country.
He praised the Arunachal Pradesh government, the Doni Polo Mission, and the efforts of teachers and rehabilitation professionals. Radhakrishnan highlighted the achievements of the state government under Chief Minister Pema Khandu, emphasizing its impact on all sections of society.
Encouraging the students, he urged them never to let anyone limit their dreams. “Every person is unique. Everyone has talent,” he stated, motivating them to dream big, believe in themselves, and work hard. He referenced the inspiring journey of Shrikant Bolla, encouraging students to draw inspiration from those who have overcome challenges.
Radhakrishnan remarked that institutions like Doni Polo Mission School not only provide education but also foster hope, respect, opportunity, confidence, and self-reliance. He emphasized that such institutions contribute significantly to building an inclusive and developed India by 2047.
Highlighting the transformative power of technology, he discussed how artificial intelligence and digital tools can help overcome barriers and make education more accessible and personalized. He commended the school’s initiatives in developing AI-enabled learning materials and comprehensive support for students.
The Vice President also acknowledged the exceptional patience, compassion, and dedication of the teachers and staff in nurturing children with special needs. He recognized the vital role parents play in providing support and encouragement to their children.
Concluding his address, Radhakrishnan expressed gratitude, saying, “Today you have taught me a lot,” while appreciating the inspiration and determination he witnessed from the students.
Accompanying the Vice President were Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lieutenant General (Retd) Kavalya Trivikram Parnaik, Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, and other senior officials from the state government, along with representatives from Doni Polo Mission, teachers, rehabilitation professionals, and students.
Following his school visit, Radhakrishnan toured the Jawaharlal Nehru State Museum in Itanagar, commending its role in preserving and showcasing the rich ethnic heritage of Arunachal Pradesh and Northeast India. He noted that such institutions serve as vital bridges between generations, playing a crucial role in protecting cultural heritage and promoting pride in indigenous traditions. He praised the dedicated efforts of all involved in the museum’s mission to preserve and promote Arunachal Pradesh’s invaluable heritage.
