Fifth Tiangong Classroom Session Launched at Chinese Space Station

Beijing, September 9 (Daily Kiran) : A new session of the ‘Tiangong Classroom’ was launched at the Chinese Space Station on September 9, 2026. This initiative, aimed at students from Hong Kong and Macau, featured lectures and scientific demonstrations conducted by the Shenzhou-23 crew.

Organized collaboratively by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government, the Macau Special Administrative Region government, and the China Manned Space Engineering Office, this fifth session included expert lectures, classroom demonstrations, and a Q&A segment for students.

The primary goal was to familiarize the youth of Hong Kong and Macau with the unique environment of space and the allure of space science and technology. During the lectures, astronauts showcased several engaging scientific demonstrations and introduced students to the station’s facilities, including the ‘Tianyun’ camera, developed with the participation of a research team from Hong Kong.

This educational outreach reflects China’s commitment to inspiring the next generation in the field of space exploration.
