PM Modi Urges Youth to Avoid Shortcuts in Life

New Delhi, August 12: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called on the youth of the nation to steer clear of shortcuts in life. He emphasized the influence of social media, stating that influencers can lead individuals astray.

During the launch of former President Ram Nath Kovind’s autobiography, “Triumph of the Indian Republic: My Life, My Struggles,” PM Modi encouraged the younger generation to read the book and learn from Kovind’s experiences and struggles.

He remarked, “I particularly urge the youth. In this age of reels, social media influencers can lead you in various directions. Even in this era of shortcuts, remember this: at railway stations, some people have a habit of jumping onto the tracks instead of using the bridge. There, it is written, ‘Shortcut will cut you short.’”

PM Modi advised the youth to read autobiographies of individuals they admire, as these books provide a unique perspective on historical events, often closely tied to the times they depict.

Earlier, he reflected on his long association with former President Kovind, praising the guidance and affection he received during Kovind’s presidency. He stated that Kovind’s autobiography will serve as a “precious heritage” for Indian democracy and society.

In his address, he expressed, “Today, we have the opportunity to launch Ram Nath Kovind’s autobiography. I am pleased to be part of this event. I have known him for a long time and had the chance to understand him closely. His guidance as President, along with his special affection and warmth towards me, has been a significant asset.”

He confidently asserted that Kovind’s autobiography will be a legacy for Indian democracy and society, acknowledging Kovind’s contributions to the nation.

PM Modi urged everyone to explore Kovind’s life journey through his own words, encouraging the new generation to read his writings and experiences, which offer valuable lessons. He extended his heartfelt congratulations to Ram Nath Kovind for this autobiography.
