BRICS Summit Scheduled at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi

New Delhi, September 9 (Daily Kiran) : The 18th BRICS Summit is set to take place at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on September 12 and 13. This significant gathering, under India’s presidency, carries the theme “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation, and Sustainability.”

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) released the schedule for the two-day event on Wednesday. Leaders from BRICS member countries, partner nations, and invited countries will participate in this important summit.

Leaders from BRICS nations are expected to arrive at Bharat Mandapam on Saturday. A closed session on “Inclusive Global Governance and Strengthening Multilateralism” will commence around 2:35 PM. Following this, at 4:25 PM, participants will tour the “India Innovates Exhibition.” A family photo session is scheduled for 5:05 PM, followed by a joint tree-planting ceremony at 5:10 PM. The day’s events will conclude with a gala dinner hosted by the Prime Minister at 7:30 PM on Level 3 of Bharat Mandapam.

On Sunday, September 13, heads of state from partner countries and others involved in the outreach program will arrive at Bharat Mandapam at 9:55 AM. A family photo will take place at 10:35 AM. The summit’s key open session will begin at 10:50 AM, focusing on “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation, and Sustainability: Shaping the Future for Inclusive Global Growth.”

During this session, leaders from BRICS and partner nations will discuss global development, economic cooperation, and future challenges. The 2026 BRICS Summit marks a milestone for the group, celebrating 20 years since its inception. This is India’s fourth time presiding over the summit, which aims to enhance collaboration on issues such as global governance reform, strengthening multilateralism, trade, finance, technology, energy security, and sustainable development.
