Lucknow, February 18: Siddharth Nath Singh, a legislator from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), responded to the Bahujan Samaj Party’s (BSP) announcement to contest the 2027 assembly elections independently. He stated that this is entirely Mayawati’s decision and will not impact the election results. Singh asserted that the BJP and its allies will emerge victorious in the upcoming elections.

BSP leader Mayawati has made it clear that her party will fight the 2027 elections on its own, dismissing any rumors of alliances as misleading. In an interview, Siddharth Nath Singh emphasized that it is Mayawati’s party, and whether she chooses to contest alone or with others is her internal decision.

The BJP legislator noted that the BSP has previously contested elections in alliances but was still defeated by the BJP and its coalition partners. He claimed that the outcome will be the same in 2027, with the BJP and its allies securing victory.

Singh also reacted sharply to allegations made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during an AI conference in Delhi. Gandhi accused the government of selling Indian data on a global scale. Singh countered that such statements damage the country’s image. He stated that India is progressing towards becoming a global leader in artificial intelligence, with international discussions underway on the subject. He mentioned that the AI summit has been extended by a day, receiving global praise for India, and criticized Gandhi’s remarks as inappropriate for his position. Singh accused Gandhi of misusing his office to undermine the country.

In response to the Samajwadi Party’s claims that the BSP is the BJP’s “B-team,” Singh suggested that any objections should be directed at the BSP itself. He asserted that the BJP has no such “B-team.” Targeting the Samajwadi Party, he recalled their previous alliance with the BSP, known as the “Bua-Bhatija” coalition, and suggested that those with doubts should inquire with their former partners.

Regarding allegations from Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav about the misuse of Form 7 in the SIR process, Singh stated that the matter should be discussed with the Election Commission rather than creating a ruckus in the assembly. He noted that the Election Commission has already clarified its stance, asserting that the SIR process is running smoothly in Uttar Pradesh without any irregularities.

Meanwhile, Minister Danish Azad Ansari also criticized the Samajwadi Party on this issue. He remarked that the accusations regarding Form 7 in the SIR process reflect the SP’s desperation. According to him, the Election Commission is working towards conducting fair elections through the SIR process, while the SP is attempting to spread confusion in society. He labeled this as a conspiracy to weaken democracy, asserting that the public is watching and will respond in 2027.
