New Delhi, August 21: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated a public skill center and a self-health center in the Motinagar assembly area on Thursday.
Both centers have been established through the efforts of the Madan Lal Khurana Foundation.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of connecting youth with modern technology and industry-oriented skills alongside traditional education in today’s changing global landscape.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital technologies are creating unprecedented opportunities in employment and entrepreneurship. In this context, this initiative will serve as an effective bridge to make youth self-reliant and future-ready.
Legislators Harish Khurana, Umang Bajaj, and other dignitaries were present at the event.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that the public skill center will provide thousands of young people the opportunity to learn about Artificial Intelligence and redirect their careers.
Not only the youth, but senior citizens are also visiting to learn about AI and new technologies. She noted that while the public skill center in Motinagar may be small, it plays a crucial role in laying a strong foundation for a broader goal.
She recalled Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to the nation on Independence Day, where he set the objective of connecting youth with education and skills in Artificial Intelligence.
The aim is to equip young people with modern capabilities, allowing them to prepare for the evolving world and future economic needs.
While inaugurating the self-health center, the Chief Minister remarked that health is as vital as education and skills for any empowered society.
She also remembered the late former Chief Minister of Delhi, Madan Lal Khurana, for his commitment to public service.
She stated that the foundation’s work in education, healthcare, and welfare for underprivileged communities is a meaningful effort to realize Khurana’s dream of a “prosperous and empowered Delhi.”
