Adani Electricity Offers Temporary Power Connections for Ganesh Pandals in Mumbai

Mumbai, September 12 (Daily Kiran) : Adani Electricity has announced its commitment to support the upcoming Ganesh Festival in Mumbai by offering temporary power connections at residential rates for Ganesh Pandals. This initiative aims to ensure a reliable electricity supply for various pandals throughout the city during the celebrations.

Pandal organizers can obtain temporary connections within 48 hours of submitting their applications. A spokesperson for Adani Electricity stated, “By providing dependable temporary power connections for Ganesh Pandals, we aim to ensure that the spirit of the festival is celebrated without interruptions. This initiative reflects our commitment to serving our customers.”

Organizers can apply for these connections by visiting the ‘New Connection’ section on Adani Electricity’s official website. Last year, the company successfully provided uninterrupted power supply to over 1,000 Ganesh Pandals across the city. This year, extensive preparations have been made to expedite connection approvals and maintain reliable electricity throughout the festival. A dedicated quick response team has been strategically deployed to address any issues promptly.

To ensure the safety of devotees visiting the pandals, Adani Electricity has urged all organizers to use only authorized and licensed electrical contractors for wiring. Additionally, the company will illuminate over 2,958 floodlights at 167 immersion sites for the idols.

The spokesperson also mentioned that safety guidelines have been issued for pandal organizers. These include ensuring that wiring at the pandal site is fully prepared, restricting access to the meter cabin to authorized personnel only, using standard wires and switches for connections, and maintaining a single isolation point for emergencies. Organizers are advised to secure wires with standard insulation tape and keep pathways to the meter cabin and switches clear.

Furthermore, Adani Electricity emphasized that unauthorized extensions or direct connections should not be used, and unnecessary joints in wiring must be avoided. Access to the meter cabin should not be obstructed, and the connected load should not exceed the approved load. Organizers must also ensure that a fire extinguisher, danger board, and proper earthing are present near the meter cabin, along with clear operational instructions.

Overall, the company aims to facilitate a safe and joyous celebration for all participants in the Ganesh Festival.
